Door sensor
The door sensor, which is integrated into the vehicle location system and fleet management system, detects when and where vehicle doors are opened and closed and immediately transmits this information to the system. It plays an important role in safety and control, particularly in vehicles used for goods transport.

How does it work?

The door sensor consists of a magnet and a reed relay. When the door is closed, the reed relay remains in trigger readiness thanks to the magnetic field generated by the magnet. When the door is opened, this magnetic field is interrupted and the sensor immediately sends a signal to the vehicle location device. In this way, door movements are recorded in the system.

With this solution:

• An alarm may be triggered if the vehicle doors are opened without authorization.

• The opening/closing movements of the doors can be reported retrospectively.

Increase the safety of your fleet with the door sensor and control your operations more effectively.
